About Us

Welcome to The Madison Lions Club! We celebrate our 70th Anniversary in 2025, we have much to be proud of. Our commitment to community service projects reflects our mission, and we foster teamwork, leadership, and lasting friendships through various activities. Explore our initiatives focused on youth, diabetes, and vision. We’re collaborating with local agencies to create opportunities, and we invite you to join the fun today.

What We Do

Since 1955 the Lions Club of Madison has been serving the people of Morgan County and the State of Georgia. Our legacy is often tied to the Morgan County Lions Club Fair. It started 4 years after its founding in 1959.

Madison Lions meet 9-months of the year. We invite guest speakers from the community and our partner community groups and agencies at meetings and conduct a business meeting most months as well.

Our exclusive fundraising event is the fair and carnival. Every fall we host the county to exhilarating rides, games, 4-H contests, and our famous Lions Club Burgers! This is our only fundraising event for volunteers to support. The proceeds from the fair support our local partners, and Lions Club Organizations.

Our Purpose

We strive to improve our community through volunteer and financial support. Our partnerships are focused on areas of need including youth, the blind and visually impaired in Georgia, and local community groups.

Our History

Over 70-years of volunteer action. We have donated over $250,000 to the community since 2010. Our Madison Lions Club members volunteer countless hours at food banks, clean-up days at youth camps, collecting donated eyeglasses and more . . .

Our Approach

Our legacy includes the annual fair and community support to raise funds. We deliver those fair funds, and volunteer on projects in our target areas of community need. We value the time of our volunteers and limit meetings. Our volunteer members have fun and lift the spirit of all we serve.

Get involved with the Madison Lions Club and make a difference in our community. Join us at our next meeting or event. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of most months. Our meeting starts at 6:30 in the Lions Club Building across from Walmart at the corner of Fairground Road and Lions Club Drive in Madison.
